You will need :
- flour
- eggs
- cans of Royal pink salmon
- Italian Bread crumbs
- cornmeal
- yellow onion
- green onion
- spicy paprika
- garlic salt
- Lawry’s
- coarse black pepper
- oregano
- Texas Pete hot sauce (optional)
- vegetable or canola oil
- cast iron skillet
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 cans of Royal pink salmon (take off larger bones and darker skin)
- 1 cup Italian Bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp cornmeal
- 1 half yellow onion/fine chop
- 1 half green onion/rough chop
- spicy paprika
- garlic salt
- Lawry’s
- coarse black pepper
- oregano
- Texas Pete hot sauce (optional)
- 3/4 cup of vegetable or canola oil (a lot of oil = greasy patties)
- cast iron skillet
instructions
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients.
- Season to your desired taste. Form into desired pattie size.
- Refrigerate for 20-30 mins.
- Heat skillet with oil at an appropriate temperature.
- Fry patties about 3-4 minutes per side depending on size.
- Garnish with parsley.
Recipe Note
I served these with some grits and eggs. They come always perfect. Sometimes I add a little bit of diced jalapenos for additional heat.
