This deceptively simple recipe can come out in a million different ways with a few very minor variations on ingredients and amounts. This one is my favorite – flaky, but not dry; soft, but not hard; crispy just in the right places .
* Ingredients :
° 150 g of flour
° 75 g of sugar
° 75 g of butter
° 1 c. Vanilla powder
° 1 egg
° 1 pinch of salt
° icing sugar
* Preparation :

Combine the flour, sugar, vanilla and salt in a bowl. Add the butter then knead with your fingertips until you get a sandy dough. Quickly add the egg to the preparation and mix until you get a ball of smooth dough.

Cover with a clean cloth and let stand 30 min in a cool place. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface. Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter to bake them. Place shortbread cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Baking about 10 min . Allow cookies cool out of the oven.

Stored cookies in an hermetic container until gusto. Sprinkle with icing sugar to serve.
